Nina Stopar

Is a Slovenian artist. She was born in 1982 in Slovenj Gradec.

She studied Philosophy and Slovenian language with literature, passed MA of Aesthetic and completed MA of Painting at the Academy of fine art and design in Ljubljana. She currently lives in Slovenia.

In paintings Nina is exploring abstraction as the dance of her intuition in motion. As a passionate dancer she believes that the creation is a dance of body intelligence, an intuition of a body, so she claims “The creation always knows the dance of the unconscious consciousness, inside my awaken body it is a universe”.

She finds the impulses and the inspiration for her art in the body, in the embodiment movement. Being an artist for Nina means to create and to invent, which is the road to something new, to new image, new self, new beginning, new dance. “Art is my avant-garde of the moment ”.
